Front Side Door Outside Handle Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Driver Side: Remove front side door lock cylinder. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
2. Passenger Side: Remove side door handle cap. Refer to SIDE DOOR HANDLE CAP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Driver Side: Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1) and remove the cable from the outside handle bracket as indicated in area (2).

4. Pull the door handle (1) with a little effort in the direction of the arrow.

5. Remove the door handle (1) by pulling it out as far as possible and rearward as indicated be the arrow.

Installation Procedure:

1. Check that the seal (1) is positioned correctly.

2. Check that the seal (1) is positioned correctly.
3. Check the retainers (2) for damage.

4. Install the door handle (1) by first guiding the front in the direction of the arrow and then the rear.

5. Driver Side: Guide in and connect the electrical connector (1) as indicated.
6. Driver Side: Install front side door lock cylinder. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
7. Passenger Side: Install side door handle cap. Refer to SIDE DOOR HANDLE CAP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
