Installation Procedure

    Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Cover Gasket (1) - Install

  2. Drive Motor Control Module (2) - Install
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Bolt (3) - Install and tighten in sequence [16x] - Fastener Specifications

    Using a magnetic socket, Install and tighten the 3 drive motor power inverter module connector bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Drive motor power inverter module cover seal is not serviceable separately.

    Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Cover (1) - Install

  6. Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Cover Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Cooler Coolant Hose (2) @Front Electric Drive Transmission Module - Install

  8. Retainer (1) - Engage

    Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Positive and Negative Cable (1) - Install

    Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Positive and Negative Cable Channel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  11. Connect the high voltage electrical connector. (1) High Voltage Connectors

    Connect the electrical connector and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary. (1, 2)

    High Voltage Battery Heater Bracket (2) - Install

  14. High Voltage Battery Heater Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Connect [2x]

    High Voltage Battery Heater Module (2) - Install

  17. High Voltage Battery Heater Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the electrical connector. (2)

  19. Connect the high voltage electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary. (1, 3) High Voltage Connectors

    Heater Coolant Heater Inlet Hose (3) @High Voltage Battery Heater Module - Install

  21. Retainer (2) - Engage
  22. High Voltage Battery Coolant Inlet Secondary Hose Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Pump Inlet Hose (1) @High Voltage Battery Heater Module - Install

  24. Drive Motor Battery Charger Receptacle Coolant Outlet Hose Clip (2) - Engage
  25. High Voltage Battery Coolant Inlet Secondary Hose Nut (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Hose (2) @Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Coolant Pump - Left Side - Install

  27. Retainer (1) - Engage

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Inlet Secondary Hose Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  29. Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Hose (1) @Front Electric Drive Transmission Module - Install
  30. Retainer (3) - Engage

    NOTE:

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Pump Inlet Hose (2) @Drive Motor Control Module Radiator Inlet Hose - Install

  32. Retainer (3) - Engage
  33. Push the drive motor battery surge tank inlet hose connector (1) onto the high voltage battery coolant pump inlet hose connector to engage internal retainer.
  34. Connect the electrical connectors and install the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Cooler Outlet Hose (4) @Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Propulsion System Coolant Control Valve 1 - Install

  36. Retainer (3) - Engage
  37. Install the radiator outlet hose clips (2) as necessary.
  38. Drive Motor Control Module Coolant Pump Hose Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Inlet Hose (2) @Refrigerant System Control Module - Install

  40. Retainer (3) - Engage
  41. Drive Motor Battery Charger Inlet Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  42. Connect the electrical connector. (4)

    Front Suspension Strut Housing Brace (1) - Install

  44. Connect the wiring harness retainers.

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [12x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Trim Finish Compartment Support - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  47. Front Trim Finish Compartment Support Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Trim Finish Compartment (1) - Install - Front Trim Finish Compartment Removal and Installation

    Connect the high voltage electrical connectors. (4) High Voltage Connectors

  50. Enable the high voltage system. High Voltage Enabling
  51. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Drive Motor Battery Cooling System Draining and Filling
  52. Inspect for coolant leaks.
  53. Install underbody panels as necessary. Underbody Panel Component Locator
  54. Run all necessary programming and setup procedures. Control Module References
