Test B: Panic Mode Inoperative
- If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If remote keyless entry diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Using remote transmitter, press panic button. If horns, courtesy lights, and headlights pulse on and off, problem may be intermittent. Check for intermittent or poor connections, see PRELIMINARY INSPECTION under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If horns, courtesy lights, and headllights do not pulse on and off, go to next step.
- If any instant alarm functions operate, go to next step. If none of the instant alarm functions operate, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM INOPERATIVE .
- If horn pulses on and off, repair lighting system concern. See appropriate ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS or EXTERIOR LIGHT SYSTEMS articles. If horn does not pulse on and off, see STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - DEVILLE article.
