Led Circuit Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect VGLA control module connector "B". If LED indicator goes out, go to step  3. If LED indicator light remains illuminated, go to next step.
  2. Check for short to ground in Red wire between VGLA control module connector terminal B4 and LED indicator connector terminal No. 1. See Figure. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. Go to step  4.
  3. Replace VGLA control module. See VGLA CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect scan tool and use activation function to command LED light to come on. The LED should illuminate. If LED light illuminates, symptom has been repaired. If LED does not illuminate, fault is still present.
