Safety Functions
- Current to relays and electronics is controlled directly from control buttons. This means that when maneuvering ceases, all current is cut off to ensure that seat does not move.
- For variants without memory, current to motors is taken by a main relay in controller.
- If more than one button is operated simultaneously, seat comes to a stop. The only motors which can operate simultaneously are those which adjust height of cushion.
- If there is a break or a short circuit to ground in leads to motors or sensors, this is detected when motors are operated by sensor signal not changing. The motor involved is then cut off.
- If a button is pressed for more than 30 seconds (in 1993 and later models: 60 seconds) current to main relay is cut off by a timing circuit.
- Seat positions are stored in an EEPROM, and information is retained independent of time control module without current supply.
