Drive Axles: Description

Rear axle assembly uses a hypoid design ring and pinion gear set with centerline of pinion set below center line of ring gear. Semi-floating axles shafts are retained in housing by ball bearings and a bearing retainer at housing outer ends. Bearing clearance is not adjustable and is determined by the construction of the bearing. All differential adjustments are performed using shims.
