Liftgate Side Trim Panel Removal And Installation/Replacement

Liftgate Side Trim Panel (1). 

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Remove luggage shade. Refer to LUGGAGE SHADE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
2. Remove Liftgate Upper Trim Panel. Refer to LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Unclip side trim panel (1) from lower panel (2) (see arrows).
4. Release clips (3) with a plastic wedge and remove side trim panel (1).

Replacement Procedure:

1. Pull out pin (1) and remove plug (2).

Installation Procedure:

Installation note: Check clips (1) for damage, replace if necessary. 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.
2. Install Liftgate Upper Trim Panel. Refer to LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT 
3. Install luggage shade. Refer to LUGGAGE SHADE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
