Installation [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. Install the 2 grommets of the skid control sensor wire to the rear axle beam assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not twist the skid control sensor wire harness when installing it.

    2. Install the 2 sensor clamps to the side member and rear axle beam assembly with the 2 nuts.

      For Bolt A 

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      For Bolt B 

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not twist the skid control sensor wire harness when installing it.

    3. Insert the connector and grommet of skid control sensor wire into the inside of the vehicle body through the hole in the wheel house.

      *1 Grommet
      *2 Connector
      *3 Band Clamp
      *a Inside of Vehicle
      NOTE:

      Make sure the band clamp remains on the outside of the vehicle.

    4. Hold the grommet and pull it toward the outside of the vehicle. Then fix the grommet in place so that it is not tilted.

      NOTE:
      • When pulling out the grommet, do not grip the skid control sensor wire.
      • Fix the grommet in place within the range shown in the illustration.
    5. Connect the connector.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 EV BATTERY INTAKE DUCT 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2015 - ]

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2015 - ]

  4. INSTALL REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER 
    1. Install the rear wheel house liner with the 2 clips.
  5. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly to the rear axle beam assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 90 N*m (918 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT: 

      1. The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
  6. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2018 - ]

  7. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2018 - ]

  8. INSTALL REAR DISC 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2018 - ]

  9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2018 - ]

  10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2018 - ]

  11. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
    1. Connect the skid control sensor wire connector to the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
  12. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [06/2015 - ]

  13. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 

    Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [06/2015 - ]
