Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSES (RAD NO. 1, ACC) 
    1. Remove the ACC fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Remove the RAD NO. 1 fuse from the engine room junction block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      RAD NO. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      ACC fuse
    4. Install the fuses.

    NG: REPLACE FUSES

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I20 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I20-20 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      I20-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      I20-11 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC
    4. Reconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
