How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Check for output DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

      HINT:

      The hybrid vehicle control ECU of this system is connected to the CAN communication system.

      Therefore, before starting troubleshooting, make sure to check that there is no trouble in the CAN communication system.

    B: PROCEED TO "CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM"  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  4. CHECK INDICATOR LIGHT 
  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
    2. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
    3. Recheck for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B: GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

      Result

      There is no applicable symptom in the table A
      There is an applicable symptom in the table B

    B: GO TO STEP   8

    A: Go to Next Step 

  7. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU ).
    2. Data List / Active Test (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
  8. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  9. CONFIRMATION TEST
