Test No. 13: Hood Courtesy Switch Circuit: Testing

  1. Check hood courtesy switch. See COURTESY SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace switch as necessary. If switch is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check continuity of Green/Red wire between terminal No. 7 of body ECU 8-pin harness connector "B" and terminal No. 2 of engine hood courtesy switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair wiring or connectors as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, go to next test listed. See appropriate TROUBLE SHOOTING SYMPTOMS table under TROUBLE SHOOTING .
