Transponder Key Amplifier

  1. Check continuity of EFI fuse. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace defective fuse.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect transponder key amplifier connector. Measure voltage between terminals No. 1 (Black/White wire) and No. 5 (White/Black wire). If battery voltage is present, perform DTC B2796: NO COMMUNICATION IN IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM . If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
  3. Check wiring and connector between transponder key amplifier and body ground. Repair or replace as necessary. If wiring and connectors are okay, check wiring and connectors between transponder key amplifier and battery. Repair or replace as necessary.
