INTRODUCTION
Due to an internal ECU data transmission error, the Toyota Diagnostic Tester will always display -100% for the AF FT B1 S1 and the O2 FT B1 S1 when viewing the data list on 1998 RAV4 with California Emissions. See Fig 1. Please use the SHORT FT #1 data instead.
NOTE:
This condition has no effect on actual vehicle performance.

- VIN JT3* P10V* W0181684 (plant code 0) or
- VIN JT3* P10V* W7033736 (plant code 7)

SERVICE PROCEDURE
- For AF FT B1 S1 (left on screen in Fig 2) use SHORT FT #1 (right screen in Fig 2) instead.
- For O2 FT B1 S1 (left on screen in Fig 3) use SHORT FT #1 (right screen in Fig 3) instead.
