Power Steering Pump Specifications: Reassembly

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using new "O" rings. Coat oil seal lip with grease before installing. Lubricate all components with ATF.
  2. Install rotor with inscribed mark facing from front plate. Install cam ring with inscribed mark facing from front housing. Install vane plates with rounded edge facing from rotor. Tighten bolts to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.


  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure using new "O" rings. Coat oil seal lip with grease before installing. Lubricate all components with ATF.
    NOTE: Install rotor with chamfered edge toward front housing.
  2. Install vane plates with rounded edge facing from rotor. Ensure reference marks align on front and rear housing. Tighten bolts to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
