Ignition Relay (Tercel & Van)

Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals 1 and 3. Check that there is no continuity between terminals 2 and 4. See Fig 1. If relay does not test as indicated, replace relay.
Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 3. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4. Check for no continuity between terminals 3 and 5. If relay does not test as indicated, replace relay.
