CVTF Cooler (With Warmer Function): Removal
CAUTION:
- Wait until the CVTF cools down before starting the procedure.
- If CVTF and engine coolant is spilt over the engine or the exhaust pipe, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
- Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.
- Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.
- Disconnect the CVTF cooler hose and the water hose. (Model without CVTF cooler (air cool))NOTE: Prepare the container for draining of engine oil.
- Disconnect the CVTF cooler hose.
- Disconnect the water hose (inlet) and water hose (outlet).
- Remove the CVTF cooler hose.
- Disconnect the CVTF cooler hose.
- Disconnect the CVTF cooler hose and the water hose. (Model with CVTF cooler (air cool))NOTE: Prepare the container for draining of engine oil.
- Remove the CVTF cooler outlet hose.
- Disconnect the water hose (inlet) and water hose (outlet).
- Remove the CVTF cooler inlet hose.
- Remove the CVTF cooler outlet hose.
- Remove the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).NOTE: Prepare the container for draining of engine oil.
- Remove the O-rings.
- Remove the water hose (inlet).NOTE: Perform this procedure only when required.
- Remove the EGR cooler. Ref. to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (H4DO)>EGR COOLER>REMOVAL .
- Remove the water hose (inlet).
