Seat System - Seats: General Description: Caution

When performing service operation, refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS .

Be careful not to damage the vehicle when taking out the seat from the vehicle.
The load sensor of the occupant detection system of the Passenger's seat is fixed to the cushion frame assembly. Never remove the load sensor from the cushion frame assembly. The following parts can be replaced as a single unit.
- Cushion pad
- Cushion cover
- Occupant detection control module
- Seat harness
- Panel front wire
- Lever towel bar
When the cushion frame assembly of the Passenger's seat is replaced, the occupant detection control module, seat harness and load sensor are assembled. When replacing the cushion frame assembly, do not touch the load sensor to avoid electrical damage.
Before assembling, make sure how the harnesses such as side airbag harness and seat belt INN front harness are routed in order to avoid misarranging. Assembling with harnesses improperly routed may cause the harness to get caught and short out.
If the seat surfaces of backrests and seat cushions are removed, make sure to replace hang wires and hog rings with new parts.
If the seat heater unit is removed, replace the pad assembly with a new part. (Only with seat heater)
If the seat heater unit is reused, remove the polyurethane section and double-sided tape from the reverse side completely. Be sure to use new double-sided tape. (Only with seat heater)
For model with door mirror interlocked seat position memory, be careful with the following items when disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor. When the seat or the door mirror is moved with the engine OFF, always disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor after waiting for 60 seconds. If the ground terminal is disconnected from the battery sensor without waiting for 60 seconds, the seat recalling position may be misaligned.
The power seat & remote control mirror Control Module must be initialized if the following conditions are met. (With door mirror interlocked seat position memory)

When the Driver's seat is replaced
When the connector under the Driver's seat is disconnected
When the power seat & remote control mirror Control Module is replaced.
Slide rail assembly or backrest frame assembly is removed or replaced.
When the ground terminal is removed from the battery sensor
When the battery is replaced
When the accessories are installed
