Basic Diagnostic Procedure: Procedure

START INSPECTIONS.
1. Use the Check List for Interview to confirm the condition of the problem from the user. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>CHECK LIST FOR INTERVIEW .
2. Check the items related to DCCD.
  - General inspection Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION .
  - Disconnection of harness connector
  - Visual check for harness connector damage
  - Oil leakage
Is the check result OK?

Yes Go to 2.

No Repair the defective items.
CHECK DTC.
Read the DTC. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>SUBARU SELECT MONITOR .
NOTE:
- Refer to "List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)" for DTC. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
- If the communication function of Subaru Select Monitor cannot be executed normally, check the communication circuit. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>SUBARU SELECT MONITOR .
Are DTC, time stamp and freeze frame data displayed?

Yes Record the DTC, time stamp and freeze frame data. Go to 3.
NOTE:
- For the time stamp, refer to LAN service information. Refer to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION>TIME STAMP .
- Depending on DTCs, time stamp may not be stored.
No Inspect based on the general diagnosis table. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON .
PERFORM DIAGNOSIS.
1. Inspect and repair all DTC using the "Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
  NOTE: Refer to "List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)" for DTC. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
2. Start the engine.
3. Read the DTC using Subaru Select Monitor.
  Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>SUBARU SELECT MONITOR .
Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes Record all DTC using the "Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)" for the inspection. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . Repeat execute diagnosis until DTC no longer appears.

No Inspect based on the general diagnosis table. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (DIAGNOSTICS) (6MT)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON .
