Without SUBARU Select Monitor
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Subaru Forester. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Current diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) shown on display are cleared by turning the ignition switch to OFF after conducting on-board diagnostics operation. Previous diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), however, cannot be cleared since they are stored in the TCM memory which is operating on back-up power supply. These diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) can be cleared by removing the specified TCM connector.
CLEAR MEMORY:
- Removal of TCM connector (B54) and (B55) (for at least two minutes)
- The TCM connector (B54) and (B55) is located in the line to memory back-up power supply. Removal of this connector clears the previous diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in TCM memory.
