WASTEGATE Control Valve

Located in pressure line between intake manifold and wastegate valve, this valve compensates for reduced intake air at high altitude. When Electronic Control Module (ECM) energizes solenoid, valve closes. This restricts pressure line, eliminating wastegate valve by-pass function. Boost pressure is then unregulated. This maintains maximum allowable boost under high altitude conditions.
