Shift Control Cable

  1. Remove center console. Place gearshift lever in the "2" position . Loosen cable nut until metal sleeve can slide through grommet. See Fig 1 .

  2. Move metal sleeve forward to limit of travel. Tighten cable nut to 13 ft. lbs. (18 N.m). Move gearshift lever to the "N" position.
  3. Loosen cable nut again to allow shift valve to center in its detent. Tighten cable nut. Ensure that transaxle can shift properly through all gear positions.
