Fuel Tank: Removal: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY WITH PUMP AND GAUGE
Refer to REMOVAL
DRAIN FUEL
REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL
REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR
1. Remove the 3 bolts and fuel tank protector.

DISCONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the fuel tank main tube. Refer to PRECAUTION .

REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

Disconnect the vent line hose.

Loosen the hose clamp bolt, and then disconnect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose.

Hold the fuel tank using an engine lifter.
Remove the 4 bolts and 2 fuel tank bands.

Operate the engine lifter, and then remove the fuel tank.
