Inspection Procedure

1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

B : INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Start the engine.
3. Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  ).

4. Check that the buzzer sounds or stops in accordance with the Techstream.

   HINT:

   If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).

B : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )

A: Go to next step 

1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Replace the combination meter (See REMOVAL ).

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Start the engine.
3. Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  ).
