Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, ESS) 
    1. Disconnect the S15 steering sensor connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to WIRE HARNESS (IG, ESS)  .

      Standard: 

      WIRE HARNESS (IG, ESS)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S15-2 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      S15-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE STEERING SENSOR (See  STEERING SENSOR (W/ VSC)  )
