Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Saturn L300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Position the exhaust resonator into the vehicle and install the isolators.

IMPORTANT: Do not tighten the clamp and crush the exhaust pipe.

Slide the muffler assembly onto the exhaust resonator and tighten the clamp.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the exhaust resonator to the exhaust manifold pipe and tighten the fasteners. Tighten: Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe-to-resonator bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
Check the entire exhaust system for leaks.
