Mode Control Cable

NOTE: Before adjusting mode control cable, adjust mode control linkage if heater case was disassembled or if linkage was tampered with.
  1. Ensure A/C-heater control panel is installed. At heater case, ensure mode control cable end is connected to valve (door) lever, and cable housing is engaged in hold-down clip. Remove radio.
  2. At A/C-heater control panel, ensure mode control cable housing is released from hold-down clip, and cable end is connected to pin on controller lever. Move mode control lever to full vent position, hold in place, and engage cable housing into hold-down clip. Check cable operation for binding or backlash.
