Installation Procedure

  1. If the MAF/IAT sensor was previously removed, install the MAF/IAT sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Top Of Engine View

  2. Install the air cleaner outlet duct onto the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
  3. Install the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Properly position the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3). Tighten the clamp (2) to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
