Description & Operation

Power windows are operated by an electric power window unit. One-touch function raises or lowers the windows without the button having to remain depressed. The windows can be stopped at intermediate positions by briefly pressing the power window button.

When the door is opened, the short stroke lowering function lowers the window by a fraction of an inch. When the door is closed, the window is raised again. The door window is driven into the surrounding seal which gives the frameless door window an improved seal quality and reduces wind noise.

On coupe and convertible models with hardtop option, the windows can be raised and lowered using door lock key in door lock. To lower windows, turn key to unlock position and hold until windows reach desired position. To raise windows, turn key to lock position and hold until windows reach desired position. On convertible models without hardtop option, the windows can only be lowered when soft top is lowered and raised when soft top is raised.

On convertible models, the windows automatically lower when soft top is lowered (open) or raised (closed). Front windows can be raised and lowered while soft top is lowered but rear side windows cannot be controlled until soft top is raised and locked. After soft top is raised and locked, all windows will automatically close.
