Circuit/System Testing

    NOTE: When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector.
    • The I/P module
    • The SDM module
    • The I/P wiring harness connector
    • The SDM wiring harness connector
  1. Turn the ignition to LOCK and remove the key.
  2. Connect all supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) components and ensure that all the components are properly mounted.
  3. Ensure that the ignition switch has been OFF for at least 30 seconds.
  4. Ignition ON, observe the air bag indicator flashes 6 times.
    • If air bag indicator does not flash 6 times, and same DTC is set again, replace the SDM.
