Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pump pulley to the pump using the J 25033-C  . See Special Tools . Ensure that the face of the pulley hub is flush with the pump drive shaft.
  2. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (2.2L) .
  3. Install the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  4. Install the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  5. Fill the power steering pump with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
