Does the solenoid valve function properly?
- Go to Diagnostic Aids Go to Step 3
3
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the electronic brake control module (EBCM) harness connector.
  3. Measure the voltage between the battery positive voltage circuits of the EBCM and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the voltage for both circuits measure as specified?
Approximately 12 V Go to Step 4  Go to Step 6
4
  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Measure the voltage between the ignition positive voltage circuit of the EBCM and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
Does the voltage measure as specified?
Approximately 12 V Go to Step 5  Go to Step 7
5  Test the EBCM ground circuits for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
- Go to Step 10  Go to Step 8
6  Test the battery positive voltage circuits for an open, high resistance or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
