DTC B3031: Security System Controller In Learn Mode: Testing

- If vehicle theft deterrent diagnostic system test has been performed, go to next step. If vehicle theft deterrent diagnostic system test has not been performed, go to VEHICLE THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM TEST under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located at lower left side of instrument panel, near steering column. Momentarily turn ignition switch to START position (do not start engine) and then release to RUN position. Using scan tool, select BCM DISPLAY DTCs function on scan tool. If DTC B3031 is set as a current DTC, go to next step. If DTC B3031 is not set as a current DTC, go to step 4 .
- If scan tool displays DTC B2947, B2948, B2957 or B2958, perform appropriate diagnostic test for DTC(s) displayed. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If DTC B2960 does not reset, system is okay. If DTC B2960 resets, go to step 3 .
