A/C-Heater Control Unit Inoperative

  1. Backprobe test light between A/C-heater control connector terminals C12 (Orange wire) and C1 (Black wire). If test light glows, go to step 3).
  2. If test light does not glow, check A/C-heater connectors for proper installation. Clean or repair connectors as necessary. If connectors are okay, check for open Orange wire. If Orange wire is okay, check for open Black wire.
  3. Turn ignition on. Using test light, backprobe between A/C-heater terminals C5 (Brown wire) and C1 (Black wire). If test light does not glow, repair open Brown wire. If test light glows, check A/C-heater connectors for proper installation. If connectors are okay, replace A/C-heater control unit.
