Steering Column: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel, turn signal and wiper switch. Disconnect ignition switch harness connector. Remove the parking lock actuation cable.
- Pull back carpeting near base of column. Remove joint cover. Center steering. Remove steering shaft coupling pinch bolt. Remove bolts from upper and lower brackets. Drill out lower bracket shear bolts (if equipped). Remove steering column assembly toward passenger compartment.
