Brake System Warning Light

The BRAKE warning light, indicates a problem with either the parking brake switch, or that brake fluid in reservoir is below prescribed level. To test light, place ignition key in ON position with engine off. When engine starts, light should go off.

When parking brake is applied or brake fluid falls below prescribed level, light comes on. Before driving your car, release parking brake fully and ensure BRAKE warning light goes out. If not, check reservoir for fluid level. If fluid level is too low, the cause should be located and repaired immediately.
