Test E: Security Indicator Inoperative

  1. If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn ignition switch to RUN position, and observe SECURITY indicator. If SECURITY indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator illuminates during bulb check, inspect for intermittents. See TROUBLE SHOOTING  .
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), then go to next step.
  4. Operate system to verify repair. If system is not operating correctly, repeat test beginning at step  2 .
