Asleep & Awake Functions

Wake up signals turn BCM on to begin controlling and/or monitoring of certain functions. BCM wake-up inputs are as follows:

• Door ajar switches.
• Dome light.
• Parking lights.
• Power door lock switches.
• Interior light request active.
• Ignition key put into ignition lock cylinder.
• Ignition key is removed from ignition lock cylinder.
• Ignition switch in ON position.
• Remote control request to BCM from Remote Function Actuator (RFA).
• Any class 2 communication requiring BCM interaction.

The BCM will fall asleep when controlling of functions and class 2 communication has stopped. After ignition switch is turned to LOCK position and 20 minutes has elapsed without any wake-up signals, the BCM goes into low-power sleep mode. When wake-up inputs are detected, BCM will enter high-power awake mode.
