Keyless Entry Transmitter Trunk Lid Release Function

Inoperative

1) Disconnect transaxle range switch connector. Connect test light between transaxle range switch connector terminal "D" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light does not light, check Orange wire for an open circuit.

2) If test light lights, connect transaxle position switch connector. Put gear selector in PARK. Backprobe with a test light C100 terminal D5 (Light Green/Black wire) and ground. If test light does not light, check Light Green/Black wire for an open circuit. If wiring is okay, replace transaxle range switch.

3) If test light lights, disconnect keyless entry receiver connector C1. Connect test light between keyless entry receiver connector C1 terminal "C" (Light Green/Black wire) and ground. If test light does not light, check Light Green/Black wire for an open between keyless entry receiver and splice.

4) If test light lights, connect keyless entry receiver connector C1. Backprobe with a test light to ground C355 terminal A (Black wire). While observing test light, operate keyless entry transmitter trunk lid release button.

5) If test light does not flash once, check circuit 142 between C355 (Black wire)and keyless entry receiver for an open. Check for poor connection. If ok, replace keyless entry receiver. If test light does flash once, check/repair circuit 142 for and open between S410 and C355.
