Front Seat: Installation

CAUTION: When fasteners are removed, always reinstall them at the same location from which they were removed. If a fastener needs to be replaced, use the correct part number for that application. If the correct part number fastener is not available, a fastener of equal (or stronger) may be used. Fasteners that are not reused, and those requiring thread locking compound will be called out. The correct torque value must be used when installing fasteners that require it. If the above conditions are not followed, parts or system damage could result.
  1. Install the front seat with the aid of a helper.
  2. Connect electrical connectors on 6-way power seat adjusters.
  3. Install washer (42) to front left anchor plate stud (11). See Figure .
  4. Install front adjuster nuts (2) to the anchor plate studs (11), and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install front support covers (7). See Figure .
  6. Install screws (6) to front floor support covers (7).
  7. Move seat to full forward position.
  8. Install safety belt anchor bolts, and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Install rear adjuster nuts (2) to the anchor plate studs (11). See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  10. Install rear floor support covers (4).
  11. Install screws (5) or bolts (3) to the rear floor support covers (4).
