Abs Works Frequently

  1. Check brake fluid pressure distribution. See DUAL LOAD-SENSING VALVE (DLSV) under TESTING in DISC & DRUM article. If pressure is as specified, go to next step. If pressure is not as specified, repair as necessary. See PRELIMINARY CHECKS  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  2. Check wheel sensors and circuits. See DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE NO. 2  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. Repair as necessary. If wheel sensors and circuits are okay, go to next step.
  3. Check wheel bearings f or excessive play. Repair as necessary. If wheel bearings are okay, road test vehicle and observe ABS warning light. If warning stays off, system is okay. If warning light is on, perform self-diagnostics. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
