Cruise Control Cable
Warm up engine and adjust accelerator cable. Confirm there are no sharp bends in the cruise control cable. Check inner cable for correct slack. If there is too much slack, adjust play.
- Loosen the lock nut and adjusting nut on the throttle lever side of the auto-cruise control cable once to free the cable. See Fig 1 .
- Pulling the cruise control outer cable in the direction of the arrow in figure, lock the outer cable with adjusting nut just before the throttle lever begins to move. Back off the adjusting nut a 1/2 turn and lock the cruise control cable with the lock nut.
