Fuel Control

The Feedback Carburetor (FBC) system consists of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU), 2-barrel downdraft carburetor and various sensors.

The carburetor has primary and secondary circuits. Carburetor components include accelerator pump, vacuum-actuated secondary throttle diaphragm, fully automatic choke, coasting air valve, slow-cut and feedback solenoid valves, anti-overfill device, air switching valve, bowl vent valve and dashpot.

The ECU utilizes signals from the sensors to control air/fuel ratio. After engine warm-up, air/fuel ratio is determined by the oxygen sensor signal to the ECU. The ECU controls air/fuel ratio through the Feedback Solenoid Valve (FBSV) and Slow-Cut Solenoid Valve (SCSV).
