Diagnosis & Testing: G-Sensor
- Ensure sensor is mounted correctly. Sensor must be within 1° of being level, if not, use shims to adjust to level.NOTE: If any oil leakage occurs with the sensor, replace it.
- Check voltage between "R" terminal of control unit and ground. If not 7.0-7.5 volts, control unit is faulty.CAUTION: Set voltmeter at correct range before measurement to prevent damage to control unit.
- Remove sensor and ground to car body using wire. Place sensor so manufacturer mark is upward. Measure voltage between "G" terminal and ground. If not 4.6-5.0 volts, replace sensor.
