Description & Operation
The rearview mirror system consists of the following: Inside rearview mirror, two manual or power outside rearview mirrors, two vertical and horizontal motor assemblies, and/or Power mirror switch.
The inside rearview mirror is mounted to the windshield. It has a day/night adjustment lever located on the bottom of the mirror frame. In the day position, the mirror provides a direct reflection. In the night position, the mirror provides an indirect reflection, reducing the head-lamp glare of other vehicles.
The manual outside rearview mirror is adjusted by manually moving the mirror in the desired direction. The power outside rearview mirror system consists of a power mirror switch, mounted on the lower left side of the instrument panel.
Two motors are included in each power outside rearview mirror. One motor controls the horizontal position of the power mirror, the other controls the vertical position of the power mirror. To adjust the power outside mirror, set the selector knob on the power mirror switch to the L position to adjust the driver side mirror or to the R position to adjust the passenger side mirror. Move the knob up, down, left or right until the mirror is in the desired position. Return the knob to the center position.
