Emergency-P function - GF27.10-P-3029GZ
TRANSMISSION 722.9 in MODEL 164.1/8, 251.0/1 up to Model Year 8
The Key-P function can still be activated in emergencies e.g. if there is undervoltage in the on-board electrical system or communication to the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80) is interrupted.
In these cases, an emergency motor in the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT is supplied with voltage via the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) by an additional battery (G1/7), triggering the Emergency-P function.
If undervoltage is no longer present in the on-board electrical system, the Emergency-P function is deactivated and the intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT reverts to its normal operating condition.
The Emergency-P function cannot be overridden manually.
The additional battery is located in the front passenger footwell near battery (G1).
