Cruise Control Switch
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove driver's side air bag module. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Disconnect cruise control switch harness connector. Measure resistance between cruise control switch terminals. With SET/COAST switch pressed, resistance should be approximately 240 ohms. With RESUME/ACCEL switch pressed, resistance should be approximately 910 ohms. With CANCEL switch pressed, resistance should be approximately zero ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace cruise control switch.
