DESCRIPTION

You'll notice code P1000 will appear on the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester during PDI servicing or after you clear the EGI system trouble codes from memory The code will remain in the system even after you finish a repair.

Please note that P1000 is NOT a trouble code. In fact, it's designed to indicate that no trouble codes exist in the system.

The Workshop Manual does not explain code P1000, but next year's edition will. A future Service Bulletin will also explain code P1000.
