System Testing

A New Generation Star (NGS) tester is required to test the power seat system. Connect NGS tester to data link connector, located beneath instrument panel. Preform data link diagnostics test. If NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for driver seat module, go to CIRCUIT TEST C. If NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for driver door module, go to CIRCUIT TEST D. If data link diagnostics test is passed for driver door or driver seat modules, retrieve continuous DTCs and preform appropriate DTC TEST. If self-test is passed and no DTCs are retrieved, go to SYMPTOM CHART .
