Wiper Motor Current Draw

NOTE: If Rotunda Starting and Charging Tester (078-00005) is not available, an ammeter capable of reading at least 10 amps (DC) may be substituted.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect linkage and electrical plug from motor.
  2. Connect Green lead from Rotunda Starting and Charging Tester (07800005) to battery positive post. Connect positive (Red) tester lead, in turn, to the following motor terminals: common terminal, low-speed terminal and high-speed terminal. See Fig 1 . Current draw should not exceed 3.5 amps at all terminal connections.
