Front Lower Ball Joint: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT 
    1. Install the front lower ball joint to the front lower suspension arm with the nut.
      NOTE:

      Ensure that the thread and taper are free of oil or other foreign matter.

      2WD 

      Torque: 162 N.m (1, 650 kgf cm, 120 ft. lbf) 

      4WD 

      Torque: 125 N.m (1, 273 kgf cm, 92 ft. lbf) 

    2. Install a new clip to the front lower ball joint.
      NOTE:

      Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned.

  2. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 2WD)  See step  3
  3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 4WD)  See step  3
